Draper Residence

Full Property Landscape Design & Build

A complete front-and-backyard transformation for a Draper residence — featuring a custom paver driveway with decorative medallion patterns, a resort-style backyard with pool, sport court, putting green, fire pit lounge, and artificial turf throughout.

Scope of Work

Front Yard Hardscape & Landscape

  • Removed the existing front yard and installed a full-width paver driveway featuring a tumbled cobblestone pattern with dark brown border banding and circular medallion inlays.
  • Designed sweeping curved paver walkways connecting the driveway, front entry, and park strip with contrasting border accents.
  • Built decorative rock beds with layered river rock, boulders, and planted islands featuring weeping spruce, dwarf conifers, hydrangeas, and ornamental evergreens.
  • Installed a basalt column water feature as a front yard focal point and a natural boulder bubbler near the front porch entry.
  • Extended paver and rock detailing through the park strip with alternating turf panels for a finished, curb-to-door presentation.
  • Integrated low-voltage landscape lighting along walkways, planting beds, and architectural features for evening curb appeal.

Backyard Recreation & Entertainment

  • Installed a full-size in-ground pool with paver surround and fire bowls mounted on stone columns flanking the pool.
  • Built a lighted multi-sport court for pickleball and basketball with professional-grade surfacing, net system, and dual hoops.
  • Created a custom putting green with multiple pin positions and contoured turf, integrated alongside an in-ground trampoline.
  • Laid artificial turf across the entire backyard — from the pool deck edge to the sport court and property perimeter — eliminating all natural grass maintenance.

Fire Pit & Outdoor Living

  • Constructed a circular gas fire pit with a curved block seating wall, built-in cushion storage niches, and stone pillar-mounted lanterns on each end.
  • Installed a flush-mount hot tub on a dedicated paver pad adjacent to the covered pavilion.
  • Built an outdoor dining area with paver patio connecting the pavilion, fire pit, and pool deck into one continuous entertaining surface.
  • Planted columnar trees along the fence line for privacy screening between the recreation areas and neighboring properties.

Finishing Details

  • Installed decorative rock borders with landscape fabric and proper drainage throughout all planting beds and transition zones.
  • Placed accent boulders beneath the pavilion and at key sight lines for natural texture.
  • Coordinated all lighting — pathway, uplighting, sport court floods, and fire feature glow — to create a unified evening atmosphere across the full property.

Results

  • Private Resort: The backyard now functions as a self-contained recreation destination — pool, sport court, putting green, fire pit, hot tub, and open turf — all in one property.
  • Curb Appeal Transformation: The front yard went from standard landscaping to a show-stopping paver driveway and rock landscape with water features and evening lighting that stands out in the neighborhood.
  • Zero Lawn Maintenance: Artificial turf across the entire backyard eliminates mowing, watering, and seasonal upkeep while staying green year-round in Utah's climate.
  • Property Value: A comprehensive landscape investment that significantly increases the home's market appeal and livability.
Draper Residence

All States Landscaping turned our property into something we never thought was possible. The front yard stops people in their tracks, and the backyard is where our family spends every evening now — whether it's the pool, the sport court, or just sitting around the fire pit. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were exceptional from start to finish.
